From Candles to Milk Bottles

when i was last at my local shopping centre, there was a small business selling candles and other scented things in the middle aisle. their brand is called 'Just Scentsational' and the small candles were 4 for $25.
i got the Creme Caramel, Banana Kiwi, Watermelon, and Sweet Lemongrass scents.

these candles have a 12 hour burn time, and their scents are amazing strong and accurate. i will definitely be buying more of these soon!

on the same day, i also went into hot dollar (a dollar shop, similar to the reject shop, golo, etc.) and i picked up a 500ml ceramic milk bottle in blue for $5

i also bought a blue and white carnival style jar for $15

i love both of these little decorative pieces, i am planning to buy some artificial daisies for the milk bottle, and i will perhaps use the jar for lollies, or perhaps pot pourri

the beginnings of my summer wardrobe

although it is still winter for another week, and then there is all of spring, i have started to buy some clothing items for summer, so i decided i would share these with you..

from Big W, i bought the Lee Cooper Burnout Crop tee for $15. this shirt is from the kids section, so it is a size 16 (which is equivalent to a ladies 10)

it is a slightly cropped design (kids shirts are always more modest than ladies), and i simply adore the daisy detailing around the neck

next i bought myself a new watch, although my current/ old watch still worked and was relatively new. it had a glitter face, which was incredibly difficult to read, so i decided to upgrade to this ladies analog watch in rose gold and white for $15

next i went into cotton on. whenever i am looking for good basic T-shirts, i always end up here.
they have recently released a line of basics with Lara Bingle, and the shirts have such a flattering design, for a decent price!

from cotton on, i bought the rib texture over the knee socks in berry for $8

these are great for those outfits when black or navy long socks dont work. they add a nice pop of colour, and i actually wore them today with my 'a whole new world' skater dress by BMC

next, i bought the Ava rip high waist shorts in vintage blue for $35

it is always challenging trying to find denim shorts that are shorter than knee length, yet dont leave half of your bum cheeks hanging out (there doesnt seem to be anything in between). so whenever i spot a pair of shorts that look like a decent length, i always try them on. even more so when theyre high waisted, light denim, with rips, and frayed bottoms.
these shorts ticked all of those boxes, and they actually completely cover my bum, with fabric to spare!

i also bought the keira short sleeve v tee in carter blue/ white stripe for $20

this shirt is made of that super soft slinky fabric, and it is so very comfortable. it is also long enough that you can chuck it on over a pair of tights, and have your bum covered

i bought the 'the scoop' in adele stripe cloudy sky/ white for $15

this shirt is one of the ones from the Lara Bingle collaboration and it is the perfect basic. the shirt has a fitted cut without clinging or being uncomfortable. it also has a nice scoop neck that it not too high or too low

and lastly from cotton on, i bought the 'the deep v' in indigo navy for $15

this shirt is also from the Lara Bingle range, and has the same fit of the previous one.  however this one features a deep v neck, which makes it lower cut than the other, yet it is still modest enough that your boobs are not falling out

cotton on were also having a 30% off storewide sale, so everything about was 30% cheaper than listed, so overall i saved about $20 off the total.

lastly, i went into valley girl, and bought a few things
first up, i bought an infinity ring for $5, a diamante midi ring for $3, and some daisy hair ties for $7

i also spotted a white top with daisy detailing for $14. which i picked up immediately. i had been looking for one of these for a long while (all winter). i have seen similar with the trim along the bottom, but being a lover of high waisted things like i am, i wanted the daisies on the top

i am a sucker for paisley, and this dress made no exception. it is a loose skater/ smock style and it was $10

i didnt try this on before buying, and the sleeves are a little bit tight on my arms, but thats nothing i cant handle :)

and last, but not least, i bought a pale pink and black striped shift dress for $10

this dress is a gorgeous basic, and i can already see myself getting alot of wear out of it

Beauty Buys

from priceline, i recently picked up the models prefer infinite colour eye pencil in bronze ambition for $10, and the bourjois color boost in peach on the beach for $15

from target, i picked up the nyx soft matte lip cream in antwerp $13, nyx lipstick in 628 tea rose $9, and nyx lipstick in 509 narcissus for $9

and finally, here they all are swatched

(L-R) bronze ambition, peach on the beach, narcissus, tea rose, antwerp

August Lust Have It

hello, and welcome to my first and last lust have it box post. i have decided to cancel this box as well as i have decided that the products are not worth the $20 a month they expect.

a positive that LHI have over BB is that their brands are unknown and underrepresented.

so, here we go

1. eleven miracle hair treatment

2. essennza fuss free naturals facial cleansing wipes

3. BioElixia body shaper stretch mark diminishing cream

4. bioderna crealine H20

5. marsk eyeshadow brush pro-line

6. finally, i got some coupons and gift cards..

From Quickflix, Zodee, Essennza, Missguided, BioElixia, and styletread

August Bella Box

my august bella box arrived today, and this is my final bella box, as i have now cancelled my subscription.
this box is probably my favourite to date, it contains multiple items that i will actually use!

1. Aveeno daily moisturising lotion
i dont see myself using this too much, BB have a habit of sending me some sort of moisturiser in every box, and i just dont find them all that exciting

2. Savoir Faire eyeshadow in crave
this eyeshadow is a nice colour, it has pretty good pigmentation, and the packaging is unique and ineresting. i can see myself loving this

3. Burt's bees radiance day cream
i quite like the look of this product, the container is cute and it looks and feels very nice. however, i have no idea what it is. is it a moisturiser? an eye cream?

4. OGX moisturising coconut milk shampoo and conditioner
i believe i have seen photos of these products all over tumblr, and they smell delicious (obviously like coconut)

5. sally hansen complete salon manicure (good to grape)
this colour is gorgeous, and sally hansen make excellent nail polishes, so this one is a winner

6. Palmer's cocoa body butter
im not too sure why BB included this. coca butter is a well known product that most people already have and use/ or have used and hate.

Black Milk Clothing

back in the day, i used to be unhealthily obsessed with black milk clothing (BMC). i owned over 70 pairs of leggings, and didnt really wear much else. since then, ive sold them all, and rarely wear BMC anymore. however, i still had a list of things i wanted from their website. which i recently bought. so, here are all of my new BMC items...

first up is the cherry blossom black reversible skater dress $85

next we have the rhaegal dragon egg skater skirt $60. this is from their recent collaboration with HBO's game of thrones

the matte pocket leggings $45, yes these have pockets, they fit my monster phone, they are amazing

a whole new world scoop skater dress $95, this dress is from the release collaboration with disney

and finally, the peacock scoop skater dress $85

my wishlist is now much smaller, consisting only of the matte warm grey leggings, and the tale as old as time skater dress

Wondermade Marshmallows Review!

recently, i received a whole bunch of wondermade marshmallows. i've had these before, and i love the texture, as well as the amazing range of flavours and this similiarities to the real flavour.
so ive decided to do a little bit of a review of all the flavours i received. each have been rated on their similarity to the real product, and their overall taste

Apple Cinammon
similarity: 9
overall taste: 10

Peanut Butter
similarity: 7
overall taste: 6

Grape Jelly
similarity: 2
overall taste: 4

Pina Colada
similarity: 6
overall taste: 5

Key Lime Pie
similarity: 9
overall taste: 10

similarity: 9
overall taste: 10

similarity: 7
overall taste: 6

similarity: 8
overall taste: 7

similarity: 8
overall taste: 9

grape jelly, pina colada, and orangesicle all have very minimal flavour, which makes them quite boring
overall, my favourites (and the ones i would repurchase are honey, banana, apple cinammon, and key lime pie).

Just a few more Cosmetics

i feel as though my make up and skincare collection has doubled in the last few months (it really has). ive never really been into make up much, and because i have fairly good skin, ive always been lazy with my skin care regime. i have gotten marginally better as skincare, i manage to cleanse most nights, and ive now got a night cream as well as a day cream. but that about as far as my skin care goes.
make up on the other hand, has progressed much more drastically, im still useless at liquid eyeliner (well all eyeliner in general really), and i still consider daily liquid foundation as too much effort, but ive definitely progressed from my old routine of powder, a swipe of eye shadow per lid, and the occasional lip balm.
most days, i end up with powder foundation, concealer, blush, much more detailed eyeshadow, mascara, and some sort of lip colour. so because of that, my eye shadow and lip colour collections have grown the most.
and without further adieu, here is what ive collected recently..

real techniques expert face brush $20. ive been eyeing these off some often lately, and although they are very expensive, i decided that this one would be a good first.

Manicare eyelash curler $9.50, ive never owned an eyelash curler before. they look a little like a torture instrument to anyone who doesnt know what it is. after buying this, i asked my boyfriend if he knew what it was, he guessed it had to do with eyes, but had no idea that curling your eyelashes was a thing.. good old oblivious boys

The Models prefer eyeshadow palette in nude $13
this is a good starter palette with a nice range of nude colours, it is also a good size and price

Innoxa velvet blush powder in rose and berry $15
these colours are just beautiful, plus i love the simplistic packaging

the rimmel colour rush lip colour in 220 rumour has it $9.80
i love this colour, and the texture is very nice

The Face of Australia blush in the shade O Peachy! $9.50
this blush is beautiful with gold flecks throughout. the pigmentation is surprisingly good, but the colour is definitely what sold me on this

The Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner in blackest black $7. my local priceline recently had a 50% off all maybelline products, so i decided to buy another liquid liner to see if id have any more luck applying this one.. none so far

again during the 50% off maybelline sale, i picked up the fit me concealer in 10 light for $7.50
i already have one of these, i believe in the shade 25. but i find it much too dark, so i decided to grab a lighter one (for winter at least)

the packaging and interest levels of this product sold me. this is the Australis tint my brow in light brown $10

after opening this item, i discovered it comes with a mascara wand style brush and it basically looks like paint, which seemed quite scary. it is fairly easy to apply and i like the look it gives

the rimmel nail express space dust in 006 moon walking $5. this was the first time ive seen this product in australia, and ive been wanting it for a good few months. i think this was on sale, cant remember for sure though

recently i wore a brown eyeliner on my water line, and i liked the look of it much more than the common black, so i decided to grab another brown eyeliner to keep using. this is the Savvy eyeliner in chocolate, and it cost $7

here we have the Revlon colorstay shadow links in candy, copper, and Java. these were $9.95, however unbeknownst to me (until checking my receipt), they were 3 for 2. ive recently noticced the absence of a nice pink shade in my eyeshadow collection, so i was on he lookout for a single eyeshadow (surprisingly difficult to find), then i spotted these. the ability to link them together appealed to my child side, and the mixture of these 3 colours creates the perfect palette for me. i can see myself ending up with most/ all of these eyeshadows

all of the above products were purchased from priceline, the ones below were purchased from big w. so here goes..

first off i bought the Australis pout paste in stripped nude $12
the packaging of this is similar to the brow tint above, however the brush is a lip sponge rather than a mascara wand.. obviously. i feel this colour is too light for me, and the formula is a bit stickier than i prefer

next we have the Australis crazy for colour lips in flamingo $8. these lip crayons that everyone is releasing are a favourite of mine, they seem so much easier to apply. i love the shade of this one

and finally, the Face of Australia lasting looks lip creme in many moons. this one didnt have a barcode on it when i bought it, so i ended up getting it for free! i believe it was around $10. this lip creme is so moisturising and smooth to apply, i absolutely love it! and i love the simple white packaging, it is very classy.

and finally, here are the australis crazy for colour (left), the FOA lip creme (right), and the australis pout paste (bottom)

i hope you've enjoyed this little update to my makeup collection xx
